I was recruited to design and implement a service to help physicians take advantage of personal computers in their practices. I created the information architecture and oversaw the programming of the information databases and the interface, as well as managed the team of information specialists who populated the text database and provided customer service. The outcome was a premium educational resource for our pharmaceutical client to provide to physicians.

I was hired to answer questions on the support line for a newly-formed medical informatics service, but graduated to creating longer term solutions to common questions through manuals, help files, troubleshooting scripts, and contributing to the user interface. The result was that customer service became a valued voice in product development.
