I was brought on to help in the Litigation Support department, but quickly worked my way up to the Investigator position and also accepted the role as Trial Coordinator. Simultaneously supported Investigation and Tech Files Departments on multiple projects as both a researcher and trial coordinator for a national plaintiffs' law firm handling complex civil litigation related to asbestos personal injury and wrongful death, product liability, and qui tam. Focused on secondary research and trial preparation for all areas of litigation.Key Accomplishments:★ Provided contact information and conducted background checks for countless clients, next of kin, co-workers, witnesses, experts, counsel, and judges in support of various cases.★ Ascertained service information, viability of new and existing defendants, and product identification against multiple companies, products, and substances, and created work product used to influence decisions on new and existing areas of litigation.★ Obtained valuable documents for use as evidence at trial through various research, including PRA/FOIA requests; online and in-person review of state and county records, library records, and news archives; USPTO searches; and multiple on-site document reviews involving bankruptcy trusts and company repositories. ★ Coordinated hundreds of cases for trial, including preparation of exhibit lists, lists of former testimony, Bates stamping, trial binders, and hard drives.
