Supporting the Project Implementation Unit (PIU) in ensuring that the implementation of the OGSTEP activities and schedules are carried out in line with the World Bank Procurement Regulations.

Serving as the Head of the Procurement Department and leading internal and external logistics operations for the 54 Local Government Areas in Lagos State and the Ministry; balancing needs, available financing, and efficiency of procurement leading to cost saving and curbing of wastages in the system.

Initiated and led procurement operations to support development of the Lagos Eko Secondary Education World Bank Project to ensure construction and turnover met the master schedule. Met with Project Management team and developed a schedule so that items and inventory met key milestones, articulated project needs and sourced vendors, continually updated project needs from individual department requests, and troubleshot technical problems; reviewing reports to clarify and find solutions. Coordinated entirety of Logistics operation including fleet management of vehicles, warehouses and goods distribution. Developed effective relationships within the Lagos State government to prevent non-compliance matters that potentially threatened delivery schedules. Project was awarded the World Bank VPU Award – 2012. Presented by the World Bank Group for Project having the Best Practice. Project was rated “Highly Satisfactory” by the World Bank Group consistently for its 5year life span making it the only Project in the Africa Region to have ever recorded such excellence rating.

Managed end to end, the procurement process for goods, works and consultancy services to support various poverty-eradication projects. Contributed technical services to support institutional strengthening and implementation supervision for the core project and associated ventures. Successfully carried out procurement functions and achieved the Developmental Project Objectives.
