He has demonstrated success in driving strategic and operational IT initiatives in support of organizational goals and objectives. Kay has extensive experience in strategic business technology consulting, IT organizational assessment and transformation, business process transformation, organizational change management, IT strategy development and implementation. He is able to communicate effectively with business executives at a strategic level as well as with staff at an operational level. He is skilled in business/IT strategy alignment, program/project delivery and successfully transitioning initiatives to operations. Kay’s strategic leadership and consulting experience span the public and private sectors including Fortune 500 clients. Kay earned an Ivy League MBA from Cornell University and has a Master’s degree in Computer Science. He holds numerous professional certifications including the PMI project management professional (PMP) and has attended numerous strategy and program management training programs at Stanford University and Cornell University. Kay was a member of both the CIO Association of Canada (CIOCAN) and (ISACA), an international professional association focused on IT Governance.He was the Division Director and Group Head of IT at Alberta Innovates Technology Futures (AITF), where he had overall responsibility for providing technology vision, strategy and leadership for the development, implementation and support of enterprise-wide information technology services.
