I do this by quickly discovering the heart of what is important, learning what the decision makers expect, and putting it all together in a way that greatly increased the odds for success. Collaborated with primary Evans School stakeholders to identify policy- and management-related research and programmatic funding goals. Researched sponsored funding, philanthropic, and impact investment trends; ran targeted, goals-based searches using online tools to identify opportunities.Collaborated with primary Evans School stakeholders to develop, write, and edit proposals for cross-sector grant proposals; wrote and edited deliverables for successful proposals. Co-wrote, created budgets, and managed application process for successful multi-million dollar training grants; led meetings to clarify objectives; developed communications and marketing strategies; created application policies and procedures; created course websites; managed budgets to ensure federal compliance; wrote federal reporting requirements.Strategically promoted the mission and vision of the Physiome Project to the international scientific community via the website, collateral, and courses, in service of speeding up the discovery of how biological systems work.Spearheaded the transformation of the Physiome Project's website, creating a platform for indexed mathematical models of the human body. Co-founding editor of RIVET magazine, a Seattle-based arts and culture zine. At its peak, RIVET had 500 subscribers, a circulation of 2,000, 6,000 readers, and 300 unique web views.Managed website redesign from static html to dynamic, database-driven site, significantly increasing web traffic.Member of team-based rebranding effort, which dramatically improved the look and feel of the magazine and increased sales.Edited and wrote web and print content, ensuring brand-appropriate voice.

Along with co-founders, created the foundation for Shunpike's current business model. Shunpike’s mission is to strengthen the Seattle arts community by partnering with small and mid-sized arts groups to develop the business tools they need to succeed.Recruited high impact board member.Shunpike has supported thousands of artists since its inception and now boasts several paid staff positions.
