I started my career at Sony Interactive Entertainment where I specialized in character movement and worked on multiple titles such as “Shadow of the Colossus” and “Astro Bot: Rescue Mission.”I left S.I.E. to start Toyforming Studios in 2021 as I felt that the Japanese games industry was not moving with the times and was being left behind by game creators from other countries. I now develop Toyforming, a terraforming-based planet-making application that incorporates progressive AI technology and is built from scratch without a pre-built game engine.Toyforming has won the 4Gamer.net's Media Highlight Award at BitSummit X-Roads 2022, one of the biggest indie game events in Japan. It’s a fun and intuitive game that incorporates actual drawing with AI to bring the drawings to life on the planet the player populates. The game is set to be released in February 2023.Being independent and developing Toyforming is perfect for me because I love spending time with my three daughters, which I raise together with my wife.
