Black Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) young people today face a lack of confidence because of the Covid-19 pandemic. They are also facing a lack of opportunities to build back their lives. Training in Acting for Film and skills training in creative work such as camera operating, the boom operating and sound mixing on set is proven to work. However, it cost £4500 to learn one of the areas in a 6-month part-time course at Film Schools today. Young people cannot afford this amount of money. Hence, One Place is set up to address this need by providing these training opportunities for young people free of charge.
