Too often technology is purchased for school districts and teachers are asked to find ways to implement these devices or software programs into their classrooms. It's this process of "trying to fit a square peg in a round hole" that can devalue instructional technology in education. I'm passionate about edtech and understand the potential it can have in a child's education. Our students today will need to master the technology skills embedded in the ISTE standards to become prepared for college and their future careers. I enjoy helping teachers and other educational professionals integrate 21st Century Skills and the ISTE standards into their curriculum. This is the most exciting time in the history of education, students are beginning to take ownership in their learning and I will continue to be a driving force for this paradigm shift.
