My colleagues call me Kabie, which is basically “KB” - an abbreviation of my first name, and I am aiming to move forward in my career toward project management in the IT field.In the past five years, I have worked as an Admin Support Specialist for a digital solutions company. My administrative support experience encompasses tasks from administrative to operational to supporting the teams and even the clients.I supported the company by assisting the teams in everything they needed help with, but I mostly worked closely with the development teams. My work with the dev team included resourcing for projects by assigning developers and QA for every task and project, communicating the timeline to respective parties, helping in uploading content if needed, conducting initial investigations on issues raised by clients before handing it over to the devs, gathering requirements from clients so the team can work seamlessly with everything they need.I have also helped in project management for some small to medium projects by communicating with the clients for their requirements, resourcing and scheduling, overseeing the work and the timeline, checking in with the team for updates, communicating the timeframe to the clients, and serving as another set of eyes on the project by checking the deliverables before handing it over to the clients for review.My experience wasn’t only with the development team, as I have also worked with the account management team by helping them send quotes and invoices to clients for the projects we’ve concluded. This also includes invoicing clients for recurring services we provide.Before this, I worked as a technical researcher at the Development Academy of the Philippines under consultancy in 2018. Before this, I was a writer-producer for DZIQ Radyo Inquirer 990 for almost 3 years from 2015-2018.After graduating Bachelor's in Broadcast Communication in 2015, I did writing and research stints for DWDD Katropa Radio 1134 of the Armed Forces of the Philippines.The sudden switch in my career throughout the years is due to my eagerness to continuously learn new things, and challenge myself to go out of my comfort zone. So far I have enjoyed working in the IT industry and working with development teams, which is why I’m leaning toward this field now.
