Facilitating marketing campaigns and aiding communications for and within a non-profit theatre. Responsible for assisting with the delivery of marketing campaigns, including building a monthly e-newsletter (via Wordfly), writing copy for direct mail, proof-reading and writing copy for print, liaising with outside companies to design and produce print (brochures, leaflets and posters). Social media management across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Storify; updating website CMS with copy, images and trailers; acting as main point of contact for an ‘Ambassador’s Scheme’ which maintains a mutually-beneficial relationship with establishments across the local region to promote the theatre to visitors. Developed excellent skills in proof-reading and copy-writing across a range of media; learning to use new software and programmes such as Photoshop Elements, Wordfly, and a ticketing system, Tessitura; planning social media campaigns; communication with external companies to produce artwork, print and videos.

Continuing from my position in the summer I assisted and lead activities for the NCS programme, including being part of a team that led a residential in Northern England, and helped run community projects involving outreach work where the young people led workshops in different NPOs around Leeds. Assisted as a support worker for a number of young refugees, asylum seekers and young people who spoke English as a second language. Helped them learn more English, understand the programme and furthered social integration.
