I provide support to my school’s Special Education instructional program by fostering life skills in promotion of independent living for students with developmental disabilities. Specific responsibilities include: supporting work experience opportunities for students with developmental disabilities by maintaining liaisons with community businesses and organizations; developing pre-employment and employment skills; providing information and/or direction to students; and promoting programs with staff and parents. The Job Coach also assists transition coordinator, teachers and related staff for the purpose of supporting lesson plans and/or developing students' vocational skills.
