Product Manager and Data Technologist currently leading a global team responsible for the design and development of end-to-end user workflows used to build and maintain dozens of financial datasets driving the Bloomberg Terminal. I strive to operate on the principle of excellent customer service - even when my customers are often my colleagues. I believe strongly that work should be done to solve or eliminate peoples' problems. (When’s someone going to automate folding clothes already?!?) In my experience, when you focus on helping others and don’t care as much about who gets the credit, things tend to work out pretty well. Over the course of 15+ years at Bloomberg, I've built a meaningful and challenging career developing products, processes, and technologies to meet the needs of our Data organization as well as the Financial Services industry as a whole.I've held roles as Product Manager, Product Owner, Team Leader, Data Analyst, Scrum Master, Technology Program Manager, and Workflow Developer, most requiring collaboration across multiple business units, technology specialties, and organizational levels. Domains I have experience with include Financial Markets, Data Management, Business Process Management, Machine Learning / AI, Component-based system architecture, Process Engineering, Product Ownership, Scaled Agile, Web Application Design, Data Pipelining, People Leadership, Diversity & Inclusion, and Community Building. An achievement I'm particularly proud of is Product Managing the development and deployment of the first large-scale Table Extraction platform to collect Company Financial data, followed by its next generation version that has fully automated the collection of nearly 75% of all market-moving Company Earnings and Segmentation data within seconds of Earnings reporting. This solution has allowed Bloomberg to offer best-in-class analytics around Company Financials (MODL) where clients can quickly and easily respond to company performance and make fast trading decisions. All of this while contributing to the success of a company that brings so much good into the world, through its many philanthropic and humanitarian efforts. I'm also honored to have been in a position to lead and mentor dozens of talented colleagues, both directly and as part of dev teams I've managed. Working with and learning from these people has made my time at Bloomberg extremely rewarding and memorable, and I'm excited for what the future holds!
