I am part of a Scrum(ish) team handling proactive price management for our residential customer base. The highlight reel includes the creation of a conversion process to move customers off old product sets to current offers. Using my SQL skillset, I identify eligible customers based on an ever-changing ruleset from the Product Marketing team. I provide data validation & QA to ensure all customers were moved to the correct product and price point with accurate price hopping. I provide customer analysis & QA for price increases/decreases by offer, market simplification as well as a variety of other small projects and ad hoc customer analysis.

I provide business and system analysis when migrating an acquired company billing system into RevChain, the Oracle based enterprise standard billing platform for Windstream. I also provide quality business and technical support to users of RevChain and the systems it interfaces as well as coordinate the RevChain monthly billing release with various departments while following the change management policies and procedures.

Eventually my business knowledge and SQL skill set caught the eye of the Data Warehouse team. I had much to learn about SSIS but was excited for the challenge. We created and maintained a Marketing Campaign Data Mart for our Marina Bay Sands Singapore property (2,560 room hotel and casino with 500 table games and 1,600 slot machines boasting $305 million in revenue for Q4 2010). Using the Agile development methodology, our team gathered and documented the technical data requirements then created an SSIS ETL process to extract data from dissimilar sources (IBM iSeries/Microsoft SQL Server). We translated the business logic into SQL views/stored procedures which allowed end uses to maximize the properties marketing efforts and analyze fiscal performance.

While providing business and technical support to all areas of the business (Credit, Collections, Accounting, Slots, Table Games, Soft Count, Surveillance, etc...) I was able to gain their confidence and trust by explaining the technical details of a vendor upgrade/bug fix in a non-technical way, then reinforcing those discussions with training and documentation. This allowed us to maintain a strong, meaningful relationship between the business units & IT.My SQL skills were utilized for unit testing the many vendor upgrades, quantifying system issues and ad-hoc reporting requests from various groups including the Nevada Gaming Control Board.The Venetian utilized third party software (Bally’s CMS) with custom modifications along with integration to a variety of interfaces (LMS Hotel Management, IGT Table Manager; G&D Banknote Processing; NRT Ticket Redemption Kiosk; Website).
