• Client planner for a project to build two nuclear power stations (EPRs) at Hinkley Point and Sizewell.Responsibilities:
• Balance of Nuclear Island: Planner for the installation of all the mechanical components (pipes, valves, pumps, HVAC system, etc.) within the nuclear island section of the power plant. 70+ contracts (FIDIC and NEC).
• Construction Electrical Supplies: Planner for a design and build of an 11kV supply network around site to aid construction.
• Temporary Buildings: Planner of 20 + temporary modular buildings (canteens, offices, security, etc.) to support the construction workforce. Supporting the contract through design and the internal procurement process.
• Ancillary Buildings: Planner of a NEC design and build contract for 17 buildings (training centre, security buildings, offices, warehouses, etc.) to support the life operation of Hinkley Point C nuclear power station.
• Permanent Roads and Networks: planner for the in-house design of the permanent roads and networks.

Worked at a number of different AGR nuclear power stations around the country within the Operations, System Health, Nuclear Safety, Maintenance and Engineering Support departments. During the graduate scheme I was also seconded to the Japan Earthquake Response team. Within the team I produced daily and weekly update reports on the situation at Fukushima.

Worked with clients to develop bespoke computational models within Solidworks and COMSOL to assess the following: spinal mechanics (inc. spina bifida), spinal and hip implant designs, material selection and heat transfer performance.

· Shadowed a structural surveyor; examining the affects of fire damage and subsidence on site.· Checked structural calculations and collated annual department accounts.· Proposed designs for a public toilet conversion to shop mobility unit, and one of the designs was selected for implementation.· Improved problem solving, technical abilities and forward.

Represented team GBR at numerous european and world championships having graduated from the youth national team.
