As an Assistant Professor at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, I focus on advancing space robotics, particularly in computationally efficient state estimation techniques. My research includes cooperative localization, perception, planning, and robot-terrain interactions in visually constrained and challenging environments.I earned my Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from West Virginia University, specializing in localization techniques for Mars and Moon rovers. I am a former Fulbright Scholar and have been awarded the Statler Fellowship and the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory JVSRP Fellowship.I hold an M.Sc. in Aeronautics and Astronautics Engineering from Istanbul Technical University (ITU), where I conducted orbital mission analyses of CubeSats and worked on trajectory optimization and orbital dynamics simulations at the Space Systems Design and Test Laboratory (SSDTL).My journey in space exploration began during my B.Sc. in Astronautical Engineering at ITU, where I contributed to Turkiye's first CanSat team, earning the MERIT award, and participated in the QB50 international CubeSats project, focusing on deployment strategies at the von Karman Institute for Fluid Dynamics (VKI) in Belgium.
