Built and maintained the knowledge collection and analysis tools for the Open Mind Common Sense / ConceptNet project, allowing anyone to help build a broad-coverage database of commonsense knowledge and apply our group's analysis techniques to new problems.

Led teams of middle- and high-school students in serving the community in Dorchester and Boston. In our neighborhood in Dorchester, we painted houses and a church and cleaned yards and a burial ground. For the homeless and marginalized in downtown Boston, we prepared and served meals at homeless shelters, made sleeping bags, and helped organize toys for underprivileged children. We "spend ourselves" for others because Jesus, the ultimately privileged one, spent himself for us.

Designed and implemented a gesture interaction system powered by computer stereo vision on the Cell microprocessor: • Object tracking system • Cell processor Synergistic Processing Engine coding: SIMD and DMA • From-scratch design and implementation of a multi-part system • Low latency and high throughput over TCP/IP • XML interfaces • Successful small team work including business and technical • Extensive Linux and Windows development in C and C++ • Team submitted 11 patent disclosures for gesture recognition technology applications
