KC Ashmore has been licensed by the State Bar of Texas since Nov. 2003, & as well as in the courts of the Northern Districts of Texas (Federal Courts), since 2010. KC had the distinction & privilege to serve as a judicial clerk for the Honorable Barbara Hervey, at the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals for two terms & prior that, in law school, worked for for the Honorable Elizabeth Ray, in the 165th Judicial District Court in Harris County, Texas, as a judicial clerk. KC later, in private practice, began working in a host of litigation disputes, including & not limited to, family law, CPS cases, criminal cases, probate & juvenile matters. KC has served as lead trial attorney in civil cases including: shareholder claims, personal & product injury cases, real estate, & employer/employee disputes, etc. KC has represents businesses/individuals in business disputes ranging from non-compete, trade secrets, construction/product liability/breach of contract matters. KC is proud to represent the accused, and help those in jeopardy, to defend their liberty, in a range of matters. KC’s representation of clients includes and is not limited to trade secret crimes, fatality/homicide/serious bodily injury felony cases (some of which involved high rates of speed, deadly weapons charges, operating a vehicle under the influence etc.). KC has also represented clients in aggravated & simple assault cases, family violence cases, driving under the influence cases, drug trafficking, & a host of misdemeanor cases, as just a few examples. KC has also represented clients in numerous contested probate & guardianship matters. KC is dedicated to helping clients navigate the complex, & often, extremely stressful probate cases to the best possible outcome, whether that be a guardianship for an aging parent or loved one, or helping the bereaved through the maze of steps that can seem overwhelming, after the loss of a loved one. KC is a member of the Texas Bar College & has been a sustaining member for years. KC, in plain English (like many attorneys), does far more than double the minimum required continuing education yearly to maintain his law license yearly. KC is a lifelong member of the American Legion, a veteran service organization founded by veterans returning from war who were committed to making a better world. KC has served as an officer & as Commander of the Terry Fisher American Legion Post (127 years old in 2024), for many years. KC is committed to self improvement & constant training to increase his skills & the skills of his colleagues.
