Reporting directly to the CEO, I built and owned the corporate/Enterprise sales strategy: from playbook to outbound prospecting, from pipeline to closed-won deals, and from client onboarding to upsell/renewal, etc. Working closely with executive stakeholders, I founded the GTM committee focused on defining the Fluent City ICP and buyer persona along with a comprehensive plan for targeting and acquiring net new leads and/or opportunities. Under my leadership we doubled ACV and reduced churn by >50%. The Fluent City brand grew from trusted consumer language classes to a corporate solution that served clients across the Fortune 500.
Manager, Enterprise Sales Development
A masterclass in people management, Everwise gave me the opportunity to lead one of the largest – most endearing – teams in the San Francisco office. We were responsible for top-line growth at a time the company was tasked with growing 50% Q/Q. Sales Development built the outbound playbook including activities metrics, quotas, personal dashboards, outbound campaigns, inbound qual templates, call cadences and overall contact/opp gen.We leveraged creative, "outside the box" tactics and practices to set ourselves apart from the already crowded HRTech/e-learning space and peripheral competition like executive coaches and bootcamps.I also dedicated significant time to the design and launch of one of Everwise's leading products: EverwiseWomen – a leadership experience for women, and played a hand in closing our first significant pilot.
Head Of Marketing & Partnerships
HER app is a social-driven iOS application for queer women focusing on dating, community and events. The app's sophisticated algorithm helps LGBTQ women meet other women in their community with geotargeted filters and a robust social feed featuring information about local events, Q&A and relevant content. I spent the bulk of my time at HER building relationships in new cities to strengthen the app's brand, and consequently our user base, in the UK and U.S. Alongside our founder, Robyn Exton, I designed the go-to-market strategy for HER leading on-the-ground launches in Boston, Chicago, New York City, Phoenix, and San Francisco. I also built, tracked and maintained the partnership pipeline: from local businesses across the UK/U.S. to nationally recognized brands (i.e. GLAAD, HRC, MTV/Logo, etc.). On the Marketing side of things I was responsible for designing dedicated email campaigns to connect local and global partners with the HER audience. I worked with our Head of UX/UI and Digital Marketing Lead to conceptualize, design and send weekly Newsletters to a list of 100K+ subscribers. Amongst my favorite projects was founding the HER Ambassador Program - what started at 60+ global participants is now a network of hundreds of women/on-the-ground brand ambassadors and event organizers. Finally, I was able to manage a team of 30 guest writers (freelance and journalists) as Editor-in-chief of the HER blog - we produced daily online content for our website and mobile app. And if you ever caught one of our Tweets, that was me.
Manager, Inside Sales
As the Sales Manager for GA's 2nd largest market I was responsible for total SF bookings, quarterly/annual planning, and hiring. During my tenure, I monitored, tracked and reported over $5MM in revenue from San Francisco to HQ. My team worked diligently to develop, iterate and refine the sales strategy in San Francisco to achieve 25% growth Q/Q. I collaborated with HQ Marketing to deliver smart, localized online content to San Francisco and Los Angeles for higher lead generation, and I worked with our local biz dev teams on well-aligned partnerships and events. Under my leadership, Sales kept a constant feedback loop open with Product and Programs to improve delivery and overall NPS.One of my favorite achievements at GA was conceptualizing and developing a pipeline tracking system called “the Sales Gong” that was adopted in all global markets before our SFDC integration. I also got the opportunity to mentor new Sales Managers in London, Los Angeles, Sydney and Washington, D.C.
Sales Associate
As an early member of the Admissions team at General Assemb.ly we focused on selling each of our course offerings to full capacity. In addition to running enrollment for our User Experience Design and Product Management evening courses, I worked with the Sales Team Lead to identify opportunities for on-the-ground Marketing in San Francisco. Together we developed General Assemb.ly's Career Counseling and Coffee Chats to bring Admissions to the local markets with a face-to-face approach. We also worked alongside Course Producers to identify best practices for qualifying students thereby ensuring a positive, high-touch experience from admission to graduation.
Sales Lead, West Coast
Special Projects
Special Programs & University Relations (SPUR) was a new task force at UBS in 2010. I was the first and only full-time hire reporting directly to our Associate Director who functioned under the Campus Recruiting department. The role was an outstanding introduction to detailed project management, time management, events management and people management. The skills we leveraged to attract undergrad and MBA candidates proved direct correlation to B2C sales and consultative selling in general. My work with universities to design and host onsite events, etc. was a sneak peek into broader partnerships strategy, B2B relations and events marketing. And the cross-functional nature of the role allowed me to interface with junior and senior members of my department and several others within and outside the Investment Bank.
