Working together with the First Mate and Bosun onboard I carried out usual deck duties which included but were not limited to: line-handling, anchor operation, tender launching, tender driving (inc. towing), washdowns and maintenance of deck gear. We had a busy and successful summer schedule, including exhibiting in the 19th Monaco Yacht Show.

Mate On My FathomFathom Malta Limited Oct 2008 - Jun 2009This position involved one yard period before delivering the yacht to Sharm el Sheikh, Egypt from Italy and another after delivering the yacht to Malta. I worked together with the Delivery Crew and then the Bosun and Deckhand in running the exterior of the yacht to prepare for Charter. I dealt directly with agents under difficult circumstances in Egypt and have experienced going through the Suez Canal in both directions. I moved to this yacht with the Captain from my previous position on MY Avella. During our most recent yard period in Malta, there was no Captain onboard, and so it was necessary for me to liaise between the yard and the owner and Captain to ensure that the work performed was up to standard and within budget.
