About Keshav Chintamani

Independent and strong-willed robotics researcher turned entrepreneur. Started tractonomy robotics seeing a huge opportunity for autonomous mobile robots. Been slogging it out since 2018 growing this company from one man's idea to a funded four person outfit of passionate robotics engineers and designers supported by both private equity, national and EU financing. We're breaking out of R&D and entering commercial projects with our latest Autonomous Towing Robot 2 or ATR2 systems in 2023. Pretty happy to be here. Thats not how my TedX talk about the same story recorded in late 2019 ended :-) Find it here: https://youtu.be/4ci_VgbCohc

I worked in Dr. Abhilash Pandya's lab researching how augmented reality can be applied to improve human-robot interaction in teleoperation of space station robotic arms. The goal was to research AR user interfaces to improve manual and cooperative control during manipulator arm teleoperation. This truly multi-disciplinary work funded by a NASA grant involved a range of topics including technical work ranging from system design, 3D user interfaces, planning algorithms and software implementation to human-automation interaction, human factors experiments and data analysis. This work has been published in a number of papers between 2006 and 2012 and was the core of my PhD research
