I am very proud and fortunate to call Hawaii my home. I love our islands, our people, and our culture. Long before "sustainability" was an industry, it was and still is a way of life for generations of Hawaiians. It is from this sense of "malama aina" (to care for the land) that I have been able to shape my professional career.I have been involved in energy, environmental and sustainability issues throughout my entire professional career. I am most focused on working on identifying and implementing financially and technically viable sustainable energy solutions in Hawaii that not only empower and preserve our businesses and communities, but that also serve as a model for other communities worldwide. I am a people-person and am most energetic working with clients and organizations in providing them with such energy and technology related solutions that help them achieve their broader business objectives and mission. Whether that is achieved through energy cost savings, increased renewable energy consumption, education or other creative means, it is what drives me both professionally and personally. My life and career has taken me full-circle from a small town on Oahu, through the Pacific Northwest, into the concrete jungles of NYC, ventures into the Adirondacks, and back to Hawaii with my family where I now raise my three kids. It is very rewarding to watch my kids grow up and feel that sense of pride and hope for the next generation.
