My responsibilities include managing inventory levels and shipment creation flow, analyzing website data and improving marketability of online listings, purchasing new and existing product and managing tasks for warehouse associates.

I currently work as the inventory and purchasing for an online retail gift company. In addition to purchasing products, I am responsible for organizing the logistics of shipping product to distribution centers, where they can then be sent to customers who order our products. I also create new listings and update our current listings on a daily basis, improving and changing how we market our products in order to attract the right target audiences to our products.

From April to August, 2013, I spent approximately 15 hours per week interning at a wholesale gift company called Cottage Garden, a division of Roman, Inc. Cottage Garden sells a variety of products, including music boxes, frames and photo albums to retailers nationwide. During the internship, I worked on various projects with the VP of Operations such as organizing data spreadsheets for customers, assisting in the creation of displays for showrooms and calling customers to set up appointments at the summer showsd. One of the highlights of this internship was visiting the Roman, Inc. showroom at the Merchandise Mart and observe the interactions with the sales team and their customers.

As a resident assistant, my main responsibility was to facilitate the social, academic, and personal adjustment of students to the residence hall and University. I was required to enforce the rules and policies of Residence Life and the University. In essence, I acted as a liaison between residents and the University administration. At all times I was to serve as a positive role model to residents and my peer staff. The goal of this experience was to develop a sense of community among the residents as members of a floor, residents of a hall and active participants in the residence life system and University.
