In my capacity as staff photographer, I shot many location assignments with farmers and local artisan food producers. Photos included editorial and documentary portraits and in-action shots of the people that make our food, and the places it comes from.At Edible, I also contributed with recipe development and testing for the magazine, as well as related commercial shoots for advertisers.During my time at Edible Seattle, I contributed several covers, including the best selling issue in the history of the publication.

The photos primarily display food that is also cooked, plated, and styled by me, and done so in a way that does not employ industry "tricks", thus leaving the food perfectly edible.

Stock photography portfolio focused on mouth watering food and food lifestyle imagery. For this portfolio, I have run several photo sessions with models and assistants, as well as intimate shoots of individual ingredients and plated dishes, both on location and in the studio.Images from this portfolio have sold over a quarter of a million times, and have appeared everywhere from billboards and in-store advertising, to product packaging and in broadcast media, such as ABC's "The Chew", "The Today Show" on NBC and "Master Chef" on FOX. My work has also appeared on NPR, and in National Geographic and Travel & Leisure.

Senior Image Inspector with additional responsibilities, such as the review and approval of images for inclusion into the collection, providing contributors with feedback, maintaining one of the best inspections records with very low turn over of rejections working fast and efficiently, as well as reviewing new photographer contributor applications.Image review included detailed quality assurance and technical review of individual photographs, providing specific feedback to contributors for images that could be corrected and resubmitted, as well as review of search keywords, metadata and copyright/trademark compliance. While working at iStockphoto, I contributed several articles, helped organize community events, contributed information to the IP Wiki and undertook various ad hoc tasks, such as defining the Category Structure of the image collection currently in use today. I also attended industry related conferences, PDN PhotoPlus and UGCX as a speaker and panelist on the subject of the microstock industry.

I supplied food photography to illustrate recipes and articles on the Gilded Fork website, and for the cookbook "Entertaining at Home".
