• Selected to participate in this program through a competitive application and interview process• Completed three semesters of coursework on quality improvement and safety in the healthcare industry• Tracking risk factors for the contraction of HIV for patients at the Johns Hopkins Broadway Center for Addiction and analyzing the results using SPSS to determine how the clinic’s providers could better serve this population• Participating as part of a team to draft a manuscript on the identification of patients in substance use treatment clinics who are at high-risk for contracting HIV and best practices for referring those patients to PrEP services• Wrote and submitted an abstract to present an oral and a poster presentation at the 2019 Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Research Congress on the portion of the team’s research (discussed above) that I conceived and implemented

• Served as a case manager for three women over a one-year period, helping connect them to various local organizations depending on their individual needs• Learned and applied the principles of trauma-informed care in interactions with the Martha’s Place residents• Led psychoeducational groups for Martha’s place residents on various subjects including nutrition, stress management, and communication• Won first place at the SOURCE Community Engagement Poster Competition for the work I completed with the Martha’s Place Staff and Residents

• Worked on a team of 20+ subject-matter experts to investigate, research, and author a report on the rates of California’s electric companies• Served as an expert witness in six separate proceedings that were part of a year-long process to approve utilities’ profits and spending on capital projects • Met with representatives from electric companies, consumer advocacy organizations, and the media to discuss ORA’s policy objectives, advocate for our positions, and build consensus on contentious policy issues • Developed and reviewed complex Excel models to calculate and analyze returns earned by California’s electric utilities

• Planned and managed projects totaling $30,000 USD in the areas of female empowerment, civic education, community health and disaster relief, benefiting over 500 Moldovans and funded by USAID, the US Embassy and private non-profit organizations• Transferred need-based skills to my four local counterparts including, but not limited to, management and grant-writing as well as strategic plan development and implementation• Collected and analyzed data on the statelessness situation in Moldova by creating and distributing surveys throughout the country and conducting personal interviews with local community leaders• Led various seminars for over 500 different children in the domains of civic education, self esteem, leadership and combating stereotypes• Developed a financial plan for Peace Corps Moldova’s Roma Inclusion, Support and Education Group as its financial officer and one of its founding members• Executed professional development trainings including resume building seminars and resume critiquing sessions for approximately 100 Peace Corps Volunteers in Moldova

• Researched and wrote policy recommendations that promoted consumer interests in California’s telecommunications policy-making arena• Liaised with 40+ consumer advocate groups and utility commissions in 30 other states to discuss current policy issues in order to keep abreast of new policy developments and create innovative policy solutions • Wrote monthly press releases to create community interest about current policy issues and inform the public about consumer-friendly policy changes to which my work contributed• Drafted and posted monthly policy updates to the division’s website
