Kira Nichols is a graduate of Shippensburg University. In December 2015, she was awarded a B.A. in English Writing with a minor in Technical/Professional Communications. Through her minor, she was able to take several graphic design classes in the Art Department as well as advertising classes within the Communications/Journalism Department. She was an editor for the SpawningPool, a campus literary magazine, for two years. In the 2012-2013 academic year, she was McLean Hall's Hall Council President. She also assisted in developing the SCRC, the Proteus, and the English Department's websites. In Spring 2015, she founded the Poetry Club on campus. In Fall 2015, she was a Graphic Design Intern for the Boys & Girls Club of Chambersburg and Shippensburg and a Writing Fellow for the Learning Center at Shippensburg University. In Fall 2015, she was also a graphic designer for the Art Department's annual magazine, Visivo. Kira has taken a variety of courses to strengthen her skills in graphic design, advertising, and writing, including: - Computer Design I, II & III- Advanced Graphic Design- Typography- Technical Writing I & II- Media Writing- Poetry Writing I & IICurrently, Kira is a Senior Manager, Graphic Design for the American Lung Association.
