Over the years I’ve had a strong association with music so I took the opportunity to work with musicians on their overall branding as well as album sleeve designs. I also took some time to work on pro bono and personal projects.

As Group Communications Creative Designer, I worked with global communications/marketing teams to work on brand, design and digital projects working across both web and print. In conjunction with the Group Communications Manager and a third-party agency we oversaw the implementation of a complete company re-brand of all digital and print assets. I also personally designed and implemented a “job tracker” system to streamline the design request process. I produced corporate, marketing and promotional materials with other creative individuals such as copywriters, developers and photographers, ensuring appropriate use of the new brand guidelines and overall brand strategy.

As head of Graphic Design Education I created, designed and delivered both Foundation and Advanced Level Graphic Design Courses. These were one of the frst courses to also achieve EQF accreditation. I also managed and mentored a small team of sales and support staff. With an average enrolment of 10,000 students a month on the Foundation Level, it quickly rose to become one of the top performing courses within the company, with one of the highest student conversions continuing to the Advanced Level Course. Being one of the most successful Educators I was also tasked with consulting on other courses from both a design and delivery perspective.

Westport, Mayo, Ireland

During my time with Irish TV I oversaw a complete rebrand and redevelopment of their website and online presence which saw their website go from an average of 8,000 unique visitors per month to over 250,000 unique visitors per month. Responsible for the design, build and maintenance of the Irish TV website, incorporating an archive video player, live-stream integration and an e-commerce platform. I also liaised with advertisers in designing, deploying and managing their campaigns. Day to day design tasks also included print materials and video animation and stings.

Working with numerous individuals and SME’s to create strong branding in both print & digital format, from promotional print materials to complete website overhauls. I also won an international “Best Traditional Music Album Cover of the Year” award during this period.

Working on VBC’s “Hologuide” project, as Creative Lead and overall Design Manager, I worked closely with Industrial Designers, App Developers, Programmers and Financial Consultants, to accomplish the creation of the world’s frst virtually intelligent interactive displays.

Working alongside a team of Web Developers I was responsible for the development of front end aesthetic, working to corporate guidelines to produce modern, functional and usable interfaces, responsive across all platforms to give a consistent client experience.

It was essential to actively seek out and evaluate the newest technologies and methods best suited to delivering cutting edge UX solutions, while also working closely with individual clients and teams, both national and international, to deliver optimum results. Clients included Toyota, Paddy Power, Allergan Pharmaceuticals, DAA, 3 Mobile, Shell and more.
