In spring of 2024, the data team at WIN was fortunate to earn three competitive bid projects. Recognizing that this scope of work was beyond our capacity, I proposed a new position to establish leadership responsibilities and reorganize our team. This change would optimize workflow and streamline communications through each project phase. Leadership accepted this proposal and the changes were effective by late May. Following the reorganization and position changes, our team has received tremendous praise while meeting each project deliverable. Every project has entailed the aggregation and summary of data from several publicly-available databases, as well as collection of primary data which was generated through multiple survey efforts. At the time of this update, I've also had a speaking proposal approved for the 2024 Michigan WORKS! Conference: "AI@Work: Navigating Generative Intelligence and Data Privacy." The experiences shaping this presentation include presenting similar topics for the MAGMA Governing Board and WIN Communications Committee, securing support for the adoption of Microsoft Copilot for WIN, sharing Copilot best practices with Schoolcraft Community College, and learning the nuances of other GenAI tools such as ChatGPT, Google Gemini, and MetaAI.

Promoted to role of Senior Research Analyst at SEMCA/WIN, supporting workforce development research and data-led decision-making for the leadership team. My responsibilities included analyst training, conducting in-depth research and analysis for several grant initiatives, and crafting compelling narratives for labor market reports and other ongoing research projects. Leveraged previous experience in marketing to prepare data proposals and contracts for board members and external clients. Developed creative research collateral for external stakeholders, including the widely-recognized career profiles that were featured in WIN's first-ever Career and Resources Guide (2023), which has garnered attention from workforce agencies in several other states. Beyond the desk, I embraced multiple public speaking engagements with reputable organizations, including the Michigan College Access Network (MCAN) and Michigan Works! Association at their respective annual conferences. Will lead a groundbreaking Social Network Analysis for southeast Michigan and Ohio, identifying key stakeholders and supply chain partners for a sustainable energy ecosystem report. This pioneering initiative will shape curriculum development at the collegiate level, preparing future professionals for careers in sustainable energy (Pending) .

As an Economic Research Analyst at SEMCA/WIN, I held an important role in shaping the narrative of the southeast Michigan labor market. Leveraging my extensive experience with Microsoft Excel, the Data and Research team was able to automate many key tasks and reduce the development time of annual Labor Market reports by a full month compared to previous staff. This optimization allowed the data team to take on additional responsibility and pursue new research opportunities. The role of Economic Research Analyst also provided the chance to manage special projects and a variety of data requests from both internal and external stakeholders. The most notable of these included a Talent Availability report commissioned by a prominent economic developer in southeast Michigan. This report outlined key differences between counties within the service region as it pertains to ALICE data, unemployment statistics, labor market information and degree completion data. I was also afforded the opportunity to virtually convene and present for various groups. My ability to distill complex economic concepts into actionable insights facilitated many thoughtful discussions across the region.

Responsible for logging and analyzing data through the extensive use of MS EXCEL and ACCESS while also streamlining report development and reducing turnaround time by nearly 50%. Prepare Executive Summary reports of major analytical findings for clients across all areas of healthcare administration, including hospitals, home health agencies and outpatient surgery centers using the federal CAHPS data and survey instruments. Process survey results and conduct statistical analysis using SPSS to identify predictive indicators of satisfaction and dissatisfaction.
