My role focused on teacher education, where I supported, advocated for, and delivered training for Inuit teachers in Nunavik. I supported the delivery of teacher training and education courses, created professional development opportunities, and worked alongside the Ministry of Education and universities to ensure our teachers had the best training and culturally appropriate support on their journey to becoming certified teachers.I managed administration of two teacher education programs delivered through McGill University and UQAM, and delivered the summer program offerings for all of Nunavik's Inuit educators. I developed and managed research projects, oversaw the department budget, managed logistics for travel, housing and supplies for courses, and managed a team of 15 teacher supervisors, as well as in office administration team. I also sat as a member of the KI research committee, overseeing the application for ethics and delivery of research throughout the school boards catchment.
