The Court of Appeals is Maryland's highest court. I contributed substantially to draft opinions in attorney discipline and criminal matters, researched questions of law before the Court, and edited draft opinions for accuracy, formatting, grammar and spelling.

I managed all aspects of a successful countywide primary challenge in Maryland’s largest jurisdiction, overseeing a $270,000 budget, five full-time staff, fifteen interns and a team of national consultants.

Thales is a multinational aerospace and defense company. As an intern in Thales USA's Government Relations department, I worked with outside lobbyists to create a weekly, company-wide legislative update e-newsletter.

I planned and executed a successful field program, winning competitive special primary and general elections. As a member of a small campaign team, I also helped with media relations, crafting overall campaign strategy, managing direct mail and robocall vendors, writing speeches, direct mail pieces and press releases, and many other aspects of the campaign. After winning the primary election by 63 votes, I worked with counsel to monitor the election canvass and certification process, maintain our margin of victory and successfully avoid a recount.

I created concepts, conducted research, and wrote body copy for direct mail and web ads for clients including Senators Mark Warner and Al Franken, the DCCC, and the AFL-CIO.

For the 2008 Iowa Caucus, I organized 23 rural precincts in Linn County, Iowa by building a coalition of influential supporters and volunteers including elected officials, party activists and community leaders. I recruited and empowered Precinct Captains and volunteers, and led phone banks, canvasses, and other outreach activities. These precincts outperformed the statewide vote by five points. I also planned and managed events and staffed Senator Edwards and campaign surrogates.
