Karen’s career as a financial consultant was sparked by a decade-long career in non-profit fundraising including Director of the Alumnae Fund at Smith College. Now, as a financial advisor, Karen has established herself in the community and the financial services field doing the work she loves. At Curran & Keegan, Karen’s close long-term relationships with clients allow her to have an in-depth understanding of all aspects of each person’s financial life—early investments, buying a home, planning for kid’s college, starting a business to life after career and estate planning— and create individually tailored comprehensive financial plans and custom investments strategies. Karen’s financial planning and fundraising skills have also been put to use by many local non-profits. She currently serves on the Board of Trustees and Chair of Finance for Cooley Dickinson Hospital. Karen is a former Board Member of Safe Passage, Northampton Survival Center and the Hampshire Regional YMCA. Prior committees included Women of UMass and NEF.
