Kevin's career began in Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) commercial freight transportation with Con-way Freight’s (XPO) IT group, back in 1998. As a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) analyst, he designed city delivery routes for the company’s Pick Up and Delivery (P&D) freight loading systems installed at 230 brick-and-mortar service centers across the US and Canada. In 2008, he was promoted to Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst to work on integration, deployment and end-user training for an enterprise-scale map reporting tool (Visual Crossing), built on Microstrategy's BI platform. While at Con-way, he was accepted into a Master of Urban and Regional Planning (MURP) program at Portland State University’s Toulan School of Urban Studies and Planning, one of the nation’s oldest urban planning programs. His senior workshop project on urban agriculture (UA), The Diggable City, received top award from the Oregon Chapter of the American Planning Association (APA).
