My practice focuses on the preparation and prosecution of patent applications before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. My areas of technical experience in patent prosecution include biotechnology, medical devices, biomaterials, mechanical and biomechanical products, semiconductors, and analog and digital circuit designs.I earned my B.S.E. in Bioengineering from Arizona State University and received my law degree from Arizona State University, Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law. During law school, I was a legal intern at Kahala Corporation where I worked on intellectual property matters and agreements. I was also a legal intern at Translational Genomics Research Institute (TGen) where I worked on regulatory compliance issues in the field of healthcare. Prior to attending law school, I worked for Ascent Healthcare Solutions (now Stryker Sustainability Solutions) in research and development and in regulatory affairs. As a product development engineer, I designed and performed verification and validating testing for medical devices. As a regulatory affairs manager, I facilitated FDA clearance of reprocessed medical device product lines.
