She served as the keynote speaker at the 2022 Ohio Women Veteran’s Conference and was inducted into the Ohio Military Hall of Fame for Valor in April 2016. Mrs. Cousins is adept at developing teams and training plans as well as managing and prioritizing programs and projects. She has extensive experience working with joint, multi-jurisdictional teams to manage crises and build and implement successful plans. With BPS, Mrs. Cousins has taken on management of the environmental and resiliency program with a focus on hazard mitigation projects. Prior to joining BPS, Mrs. Cousins served in several military leadership roles where she developed and led highly successful teams, including a forward deployed infantry brigade female engagement team, and a dual-hatted assignment as a military police company commander and officer in charge of a detainee camp at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
