I serve as a Application Development Manager at Vision Research, AMETEK. In this role, I manage a talented group of application engineers who consult on the deployment of ultra-high speed imagers to elucidate challenging engineering and physics problems. We travel internationally managing projects encompassing a range of imaging applications, with some examples including motion analysis, digital image correlation, high-speed UV/Vis/NIR spectroscopy, particle image velocimetry, optical pyrometry, 3D point tracking/ motion analysis, single-cell cytometry, as well as DAQ data collection and synchronization. I manage a training program called the Phantom Academy of High-Speed Imaging, where we teach advanced application-specific short courses.Previous to Vision Research, AMETEK, I worked as a Post Doctoral Fellow at the Georgia Institute of Technology where I synthesized, simulated, and applied designer nanomaterials for applications in medicine, catalysis, and fundamental physics research. I was in charge of overseeing a transmission electron microscope, with respect to both management and training as well as my own personal research endeavors. I served as the group's optical theoretician, where I would simulate the optical behavior of composite nanomaterials using DDScat and FDTD, which would quantify the extinction, scattering, and absorption efficiency. At the same time, I assisted in proposal writing and the writing of research papers.
