I research and analyze policy issues to help represent the interests of primarily non-profit groups looking to effect change. Through my consulting work, I have helped lead consultations and interviews to identify and articulate policy positions that accurately represent the goals and expertise of my clients' membership or subsidiaries. My work centres on writing and communications for policy pieces, reports, and proposals. Clients have included:- The Presidents Group: policy consultation submissions to the BC Government and Statistics Canada, creation of Pledge to Measure toolkit, member facing resource on leveraging data from the Canadian Survey on Disability, forthcoming White Paper on Measurement of Disability- The Immigrant Employment Council of BC: Curriculum design and creation - TransLink: policy consultation submission to the BC government- Lumos Marketing: proposal writing and resource design

Managed and designed Veza Programs, from client intake and support, resource creation, to curriculum design. I also co-taught Veza's digital marketing course for Immigrant and Refugee Women and acted as a mentor to students. At different points in time, I led marketing and developed products, such as Veza's D&I Assessment Tool, which is a comprehensive online assessment that identifies gaps in a company's Diversity & Inclusion practices. Through Veza's consulting work, I project managed and acted as curriculum development lead on IEC-BC's ASCEND program. A blended learning program, ASCEND has 7 online modules and 6 in-person workshops. The online course is a multi-media experience, which includes situational and instructional videos, audio clips, graphics, interactive games, worksheets, and more. It required me to manage a team of consultants, provide scripts and content, and develop the majority of the online curriculum. I also supported in the development of an online train the trainer program to outline keystone facilitation techniques alongside the workshop content.Further, I developed and delivered numerous D&I focused workshops for clients like Hardbite Chips and Northeastern University.

The Inter-Council Network is the collaborative national body for the Provincial and Regional Councils for International Cooperation where they run research projects, public engagement and capacity building initiatives. As the National Coordinator, I planned and coordinated high-level national meetings, managed policy and advocacy efforts, facilitated events and webinars, and managed the organization's projects along with the Executive Directors of the 8 councils.

New Delhi Area, India

The Centre for Science and Environment is a leading environmental research and advocacy organization based in New Delhi, India. I was brought on to a multi-year project funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation to improve the health of the Ganges River Basin through better sanitation in Class II cities. I led a research and data analysis project on sanitation and pollution in the river that helped to identify cities that have a high impact on the River and would most benefit from an overhauling of their city sanitation systems. There, I also assisted in the coordination of capacity building training programs for government officials from across India, which included workshops and travel to field sites.

Project, under the direction of Dr. Jonathan Crush, dealt with food security in the Global South and aimed to provide innovative governance solutions to issues in the food-poverty nexus in view of the newly accepted Sustainable Development Goal to end hunger.Along with my project team, I wrote and edited a policy brief, which was subsequently presented at the CIGI symposium and published as a part of CIGI's policy brief series in August, 2015

Lukes Drug Mart is the oldest independent pharmacy in Calgary, AB and has become a veritable cultural hub in the community of Bridgeland. I worked as the owner's executive assistant for 5 years, assisting in the expansion of the store to new locations, into senior's homes, into new operations and helped orchestrate an entire rebranding project, including the creation of a web presence.
