    Reporting to CEO, I played a global strategic/product role on company’s core leadership team following Philips Electronics' acquisition of Color Kinetics, a developer of intelligent, dynamic LED lighting systems that transform architectural and entertainment environments -- including creation of Philips Lighting’s North American research center, new architecture market, innovation initiatives.◆ Won and led $2.2 million U.S. Department of Energy LED program as principal investigator; as well as contract and leadership of National Institute of Science and Technology (NIST) project that developed a new class of full-spectrum lighting system for advanced research.◆ Developed fast-track effort in response to U.S. Department of Energy (DoE) $10 million L-Prize offer for most efficient lamp product. Working closely with two other groups within Philips we submitted the winning entry and, after extensive testing by the DoE, Philips Color Kinetics won the prize in 2011.◆ Worked closely with Philips’ Washington D.C. government affairs office on legislative activities, government affairs and industry issues. Met frequently with U.S. senators, representatives and their staff.
