Making the transition from Infrastructure to Application Development has been extremely insightful and has provided a great opportunity for a well rounded leadership experience in IT. I have the privilege to lead teams developing and supporting applications that run our business. From Claims, Enrollment, Care Management, CRM, Digital platforms, Robotic Process Automation and more, we strive to provide great partnerships and customer service internally and externally.

As the director of IT infrastructure services, I provided day-to-day strategic technology leadership for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona (BCBSAZ), one of the largest insurers in the state serving more than 1.5 million customers. While in this role, I also served as the Interim CIO as well as the Interim VP of Infrastructure/CTO with oversight of all IT functions during a large technology transformation effort. I oversaw several, high-performing teams in place to support the IT needs of the company’s 1,800 employees, contractors, and business partners. My areas of oversight included: Enterprise Architecture, Data Center, Servers, Storage, Database Administration, Production Support, Operations, Network, Telecom, Application Platform support, End User Support, the Service Desk, Microsoft Technologies and other specialized IT solutions. Since joining BCBSAZ in 2013, my ability to lead, foster collaboration and creative-problem solve in a highly complex environment, has helped the organization achieve efficiencies and increase adoption of leading-edge technology and applications.I participate on several IT leadership committees at BCBSAZ. When I'm not focusing on the technology needs of the company, I volunteer my free time to support community causes that encourage young women to explore careers in the IT industry.
