I manage all aspects of the Port’s Small Business Development Program which includes the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise program, Small Business Enterprise program, Airport Concessions Disadvantaged Business Enterprise program, Mentor Protégé program, Workforce Training and Hiring program, Small Business Technical Assistance program and Title VI. I often work in highly political environments within diverse communities and act as the spokesperson for the Port in regards to the agency’s programs and policies. Highlights: * Act as Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Liaison Officer to the FAA on behalf of the Port * Manage staff and department budgets* Act as liaison to community stakeholders, political offices, and advocacy organizations on matters pertaining to Port's small business program and DEI activities* Participate in Commission meetings and present information on activities and accomplishments as required* Establish contracting goals and implement outreach programs to effectively meet the goals* Manage the agency’s nationally recognized Mentor-Protégé program and developed a contracting program ensuring utilization of graduate firms.
