Create, manage, and direct designs for the internal and external audiences of the National Student Clearinghouse, a non-profit source for post-secondary and secondary student degree, diploma and enrollment verification. Provide fresh, creative style and strategy to each design to maintain the overall brand while targeting the appropriate audiences. Work closely with internal clients (Marketing Manager, Regional Directors, Director or Research, Corporate Trainer, SMEs, etc.) to understand the audience, project goals and objectives, tone, specifications, and overall style, so their goals can be met. Responsible for web updates and the design of new external web sites through a best practices approach with WordPress. Produce a wide range of materials such as job aids, newsletters, brochures, PowerPoint presentations, web art, corporate identity, posters, postcards, trade show display components, promotional giveaways, and interactive demos. Provide strategy and consultation on technology and design problems. Create online help systems for a variety of uses such as just-in-time help, application support, and as general reference tools. Managed and directed the work of a graphic designer who provides support for design projects and a front-end web developer. Research technologies, vendors, materials, methods, and design options to keep projects on time and on budget. Attend graphic design, instructional design, and technology training and conferences to stay up to date on design trends, web technologies, and trends in education and instruction.
