Working to build a world where displaced people can safely migrate for work, using their skills to rebuild their lives with dignity and purpose. I focus on supporting candidates once they are at the stage where they are ready to relocate to Canada. I help them to make informed decisions and facilitate the relocation and integration process. This includes working with various partners as well as with the employers that we work with, supporting them in diversity initiatives that will increase the retention of diverse staff.

Support clients in their effort to be a more equitable and inclusive organization in whatever way is requested. This includes providing in-depth and thorough Policy Reviews and Strategic Plans with a diversity lens to improve clients EDI efforts. Research best practices not only in the EDI space but for each specific field and client we work with. With passion and commitment to the DEI space, I worked to support various DEI projects taken on by Inclusive Concepts. Helping to guide and support organizations on their DEI journey by preparing and presenting trainings, reviewing policies and procedures and helping organizations new to the DEI space to set goals and identify how to meet them, among other roles. We worked hard to make long-lasting change that benefits clients and their employees.

Gabon, Africa & Kuwait

Worked independently in remote Africa and with a team of 5 colleagues in Kuwait reporting to the head of OutPost Shell based in the Netherlands to support the transition of staff to new locations. This included building relationships with local vendors that would be supportive and beneficial to arriving expats. Point of contact for new expatriates and their families arriving in Kuwait / Gabon, Africa. Worked with 10 – 20 new families per year providing advice on best practices in the workplace in the host country, expert support and advice on culture, schooling, doctors, and a variety of inquiries. Networked in-country to find supports that best meet the needs of expats and planned approximately 10 events per year for between 30 - 150 people (staff and/or their families). Worked to bring individuals from more than 12 different cultures together and foster a culture of inclusion in the community. Coached and guided expatriates in the transitionary period from their home country to the host country.
