About Ke Cheng

I have over 20 years of international cancer research experience and am the Founder of HistoWiz, the largest online histopathology company for biomedical researchers. During my PhD at MSKCC and Harvard with Pier Paolo Pandolfi, and my postdoc at the Swiss Cancer Center (ISREC) with Douglas Hanahan, I published papers in leading journals such as Nature and Blood. As the CEO of HistoWiz from 2012-2022, I led the company to achieve profitability during COVID-19 and raised over $35 million from top investors. I have been featured in CNBC, Forbes, and have 2 patents in pathology AI. In 2022, I moved to Miami to start a family and am an angel investor of local startups. My lifelong dream is to find a cure for cancer and I am determined to utilize my expertise in cancer research, reputation in academia, relationships with pharma, and experience in building a biotech startup to propel Miami’s nascent biotech ecosystem forward.
