At Borgelt, Powell, Peterson & Frauen S.C., I am beginning to take on more responsibility with each day. I am not only able to use what I've learned in the past, but I am building on it, and learning more about this field with every challenge that arises.

After working my previous jobs for an extended period of time, a job opened in our Tier-2 department for a student aid to work between the different staff. Here, I was to learn a wide range of skills that can be applied to the different fields of IT administration. I was able to work with both CMD as well as PowerShell and began learning how to manage campus devices with Active Directory and Jamf. This also allowed me to work on more Mac devices (both Intel and M-series chips) which I had not gotten much exposure to prior.

While working at the university helpdesk, I interviewed for this position to take on additional responsibility. While the technical skills are comparable to those at the helpdesk, the workload is much more demanding. I am now the face of the college's IT support group, working closely with its director while continuing my role at the helpdesk part-time. While here, I have significantly increased the stream of communication and task assignments by automating the process using systems such as Microsoft Power Automate. I have also taken additional steps to increase the cataloging of necessary information by creating a more organized and structured way to record it.

To gain some experience in my field, I applied to become a helpdesk support technician. This role has allowed me countless opportunities to get my hands on new issues with all kinds of technology and built my critical thinking abilities. The troubleshooting steps I have learned to work through have helped me with many other fields, such as my computer programming courses.
