Performs the following duties that include, but not limited to: pre-register, register and admit patients, collection of money, abstracts, verifies Medicaid/ARKIDS and CMS eligibility, completes PCP sign-ups, enters ED technical and physician charges. Performs responsibilities of the patient throughput process. Discharges inpatients and Emergency Department patients. Acts as Outpatient Testing after hours. Assists in the coordination of patient flow, serves as patient information and refer patients for financial counseling. Processes sheets and managed care referrals for scheduled surgeries/referred visits and outside facilities. Maintains all applicable databases. Oversees CMS application process. Evaluates outpatients and inpatients for weekend financial assistance and takes Medicaid and CMS applications when applicable.Position Duties display Care, Love and Hope when interacting with patients, families and other ACH team members.

Researches various data storage and/or computer records to obtain information and compiles data for reports. Composes and types routine correspondence and form letters, maintains activity logs and/or financial ledgers, and submits reports to supervisor. Review documents including applications, forms, vouchers, records, and reports for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with laws and regulations, make necessary corrections, and assigns file number. Provide information, assistance, and clarification to interested parties concerning agency/institution policies and procedures. Assists in developing or revising agency/institution policies, procedures, and directives based on research findings and compiles financial information used to formulate budget proposals and monitor expenditures. Perform other duties as assigned.
