Lead Ui + Interaction DesignerPerspecta Inc. • Full Time 1997 - 1999Lead Interaction Designer for startup company founded out of M.I.T. Media Lab. Emphasis on nagvigation for large quantities of data which was most significant at the time with the onset of the Internet and Search Technology. My favorite achievement in this position was the invention and development of the Quokka Sports "Race Viewer". Lisa Strausfeld, Managing Partner - Perspecta, Inc and I sketched some innovative ways of viewing live data feeds of statistics in tandem with live action video of Formula One and CART races. I then created the interactive prototype in Macromedia Director that could display 5 channels of video as well as specific driver telemetry simulating an experience of Infotainment - accessing a powerful database of information on sports data at the same time as feeding live video of a mediated sports event. Quokka went on to rebuild and simplify the original concept of our work which became a key element in their business concept.
