As a strategic communications specialist, I use my writing and digital communication skills to amplify the voices of marginalized and underserved communities, and to promote positive social change. I have a bachelor's degree in sociology from the University of Providence, where I learned about the social and political issues affecting various groups and populations. Currently, I am the communications director at White Bird Clinic, a non-profit organization that provides crisis intervention and community health services in Oregon. I oversee the communication plans, media relations, and content creation for the organization and its programs, including the CAHOOTS program, which is a mobile crisis response team that partners with the police and emergency services. I also work with internal and external stakeholders, such as staff, volunteers, donors, partners, and media outlets, to build trust, awareness, and support for our mission and vision.
