-Work with Trace 700, eQuest, Excel and other energy modeling software to calculate new and existing building HVAC loads, energy use, and models for LEED certification. -Assist customers by generating the technical reports necessary for prescriptive and custom applications to secure utility rebates from BGE, PEPCO, and Dominion Energy for their projects.-Develop energy cost measures and cost benefit analysis reports in order to compare multiple HVAC systems. Some of the systems include VRF & VRV, VAV, units with energy recovery wheels and plates, systems with ventilation reduction methods, magnetic bearing chillers, variable speed/variable frequency drives (VSD/VFD), and other energy efficient products. -Research, verify, and assist with LEED versions and code compliance of HVAC equipment from codes such as ASHRAE 90.1 and 62.1. -Analyze building plans and specifications to create energy and load models by identifying the following: mechanical, HVAC, and electrical equipment configuration & operation, lighting power, equipment power, space uses, ventilation rates, wall/window/partition construction, occupancy, etc.-Develop calculation methods to show energy savings for new energy efficient products and features.
