Child Future Foundation Concept Note Children are one of the most vulnerable, if not the most vulnerable set of people around the world. The need for great attention to be accorded to them should be everyone’s responsibility regardless of status. Being cognizant of the fact that every child irrespective of their color, cultural or religious status has a right to health, education, food, clothing, and full protection. Thus, every society or individual should have a stake to create an enabling environment and opportunities for them. We will all agree that poverty continues to affect children and statistics have shown that one out of six children lives in extreme poverty. The Gambia is no exception to the case if it’s not even worse in our situation.Accordingly, poor and underprivileged children in the Gambia are less likely to attend full education and other basic essences of life due to the lack of poverty of their parents or the death of their parents.In my community Brikama Jamisa, we have seen children living in extreme poverty since their parents could not afford their basic needs. Parents struggle extremely hard to make ends meet for their families. These conditions inspired me and other young people to come to form a voluntary organization in request to help underprivileged families with the basic needs such as school fees and materials, food and clothing for the needy children. We started with the little we had and the appreciation of the voluntary job motivates us to come with this foundation called “Child Future Foundation  Foundation” as a non profitable and charitable organization that aimed to uplift their live of needy and underprivileged children in Brikama Jamisa, the organization is legally registered with the Attorney General Chambers to operate a a full fledged  and legal entity as a community organization in the Gambia.
