Responsible for the oversight of clinical research operations for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute including, but not limited to, oversight of DFCI’s Clinical Trials Office which manages all operational aspects of clinical research protocols for DFCI Disease Centers. I served as the Director of the Allegheny Health Network Research Institute - the preclinical, translational, and clinical research arm of the Pittsburgh-based Allegheny Health Network. -Directly oversaw clinical operations and staff conducting research-Developed and implemented annual operations budgets to insure appropriate resource levels and compliance with organizational strategic goals.-Organized the operational structure of the institute to address the interests of AHN clinical departments.-Crafted and revised policies, procedures and protocols that governed the internal operations of the institute and supported process improvement initiatives, and an active clinical trial pipeline-Identified, engaged, and partnered with collaborators to make use of AHN’s preclinical and clinical research capabilities. -Established effective lines of communication and regulatory compliance with both internal and external customers including service line chairmen and PIs, cooperative trial groups, and industry partners.

Served as the Director of Operations and Quality at the Allegheny Health Network Cancer Institute - a network of 40+ free-standing and inpatient multidisciplinary oncology facilities/clinics offering comprehensive oncology and supportive services to patients throughout Pennsylvania, Eastern Ohio, and Northern West Virginia. In addition to oversight of business operations and long-term strategic planning, I directed network-wide oversight of public reporting of clinical outcomes, surveillance reporting and regulatory compliance, and Cancer Institute Accreditations.

Served as Administrative Director of fifteen Specialty Care Centers across the UPMC Health System including integration and coordination of marketing and programmatic growth for Medical, Radiation, and Surgical Oncology Service LinesDeveloped and monitored strategic objectives of Ancillary Services and Quality including annual budgetary goals, and the professional development and performance evaluations of fifty-four staffOversaw Data Analytics and Decision Support including: cancer registry services, build and implementation of an electronic health record and EHR reporting systems, Network consultant for Risk Management and Patient Satisfaction

- Managed the departments and budgets of Social Work, Patient Education, Quality, Volunteer Services, and Patient Relations. - Led the Quality Oncology Practice Initiative Certification across 28 outpatient medical oncology facilities.- Served as the primary administrative liaison to Oncology Co-Management Company.- Directed Quality Improvement Team to achieve service line-specific strategic goals.

Using multiple continuous quality improvement tools, including Lean methodologies and Six Sigma, I led quality operations at Hillman Cancer Center, the hub of the UPMC Cancer Network. I managed groups of clinicians, administrators, and patients to achieve strategic goals aimed at multidisciplinary process improvement initiatives while ensuring the delivery of [mission-based] seamless patient care. I have developed a unique supportive service model and collaborated with executive staff to mange hospitality services, patient navigation, quality indicators, physician engagement, and patient satisfaction.
