Acting as an experienced member of the National Assurance Services Advisory (NASA) team• Part of the NASA Technical Team as the Audit Methodology Manager for the UK firm reporting directly to the Head of Technical• Overseeing the firm’s audit methodology, the audit methodology manual, the auditing standards compliance, the CaseWare-based audit software• Creating the project plans for projects to be carried out relating to larger methodology and auditing standards compliance• Drafting and updating audit policies, work papers, templates and guidance for use by the firm• Adding and maintaining these resources on the firm’s intranet site• Overseeing the annual update of the audit software package received from Baker Tilly Internationaland the rollout to the UK firm• Drafting detailed responses to technical audit queries and liaising with audit teams to deliversolutions including reviewing audit reports• Presenting training on relevant methodology, policy and audit software updates throughout theyear• Liaising directly with the Baker Tilly International Professional Standards Team regardingmethodology at the global level and the impacts on the UK Firm• Creating, circulating and maintaining the NASA Technical Newsletter which communicates methodology, policy and audit software updates through articles and technical papers• Proving support to member firms across the UK regarding methodology and standard firm practices• Building trust and rapport with senior members of the firm and leadership through technical discussions as the Methodology representative• Liaising directly with the Head of Technical and Head of Audit, performing expected responsibilities• Preparing responses to regulatory comments including the supporting changes to audit methodology and policies• Maintaining the process of methodology updates as the process owner, in line with ISQM (UK) 1 from inception to end
