ICP seeks to document, archive, and highlight, and mourn the deaths of all people in custody in Illinois. As a collective member I attend meetings, facilitate petitions, assist with grant writing, and coordinate side projects to raise awareness for the project. I also coordinate with the other board members to send books and zines to incarcerated individuals on the inside.

-The crux of my internship was managing the Prison Literacy Program at Third World Press. The Prison Literacy Program seeks to engage readers who are currently incarcerated by offering literature to those that have requested material. I conducted an inventory of books, managed day-to-day operations, and assisted the staff librarian with extra tasks. -Take notes and memos during meetings; type documents, drafts, and reports; sort and manage files
