kee mabin(they/them) is an ethnomusicologist working within the mediums of photography,music sampling,collage,videography and storytelling through black archival theory. As an electronic musician,and founder behind archives such as Black Matriarch Archive,Homagetoblkmadonnas(now acquired by Black Beauty Archives),and crunk music archive seeks to create narratives contextualizes their identity in a intersectional response as a queer child of a black nationalist with matrilineal ties to Jamaica.kee holds a BA in Art History. MA in Museum and Exhibtion Studies from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
